Mary Ott Fatally Struck in Green Isle Pedestrian Accident

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 07:20 AM, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 25 in Green Isle, Sibley County, Minnesota. Mary Ann Ott, a 73-year-old resident of Green Isle, was crossing Highway 5 from west to east when she was struck by a 2016 Peterbilt 367 Straight Truck. The truck, driven by Blaine Jeffrey Feil, 35, of Gaylord, Minnesota, was turning eastbound onto Highway 5 from Highway 25 at the time of the collision. Ott was pronounced deceased at the scene.Feil, who was wearing a seat belt, reported no injuries, and alcohol was not a contributing factor in the incident. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and Green Isle Fire Department assisted at the scene.
