Alice Stack Dies in Andover Collision; Driver Charged with Homicide
On May 16, 2025, at 5:44 p.m., a fatal collision occurred near the intersection of 165th and Seventh Avenues Northwest in Andover, Minnesota. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, along with Anoka Police, Andover Fire departments, and Allina EMS, responded to the incident, where a pickup truck, operated by Aloysius Kenneth Johnson, 48, collided with an SUV driven by Alice Marie Stack, 74. Stack was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased on May 18, 2025. Johnson fled the scene on foot into a nearby wooded area but was apprehended a short time later by law enforcement.
Johnson was arrested and charged with criminal vehicular homicide on May 19, 2025, in Anoka County District Court. Court documents indicate he displayed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, poor balance, and an odor of alcohol, at the time of his arrest. Johnson admitted to consuming three to four alcoholic drinks prior to the crash and has a prior DWI conviction from 1998.
