Azure Runtree Dies Following Fatal Tractor-Trailer Collision in Bulloch County, Georgia – August 20, 2025

On August 20, 2025, Azure Runtree died from injuries sustained in a severe two-vehicle collision in Bulloch County, Georgia. The crash occurred the previous evening, August 19, at approximately 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of SR-46 and Nevils Denmark Road. According to the Georgia State Patrol, a tractor-trailer failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Honda Odyssey van driven by Azure Runtree.

Runtree was pronounced dead at the scene. Runtree’s daughter was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Savannah in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries the following day. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured. Authorities closed the roadway for over three hours while the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team conducted an on-site investigation. The incident remains under investigation, and no charges have been publicly announced.
