Cassidy Schneider Injured in Mille Lacs County Pedestrian Accident
On August 13, 2025, at 1:20 p.m., a pedestrian accident occurred on Highway 169 at Captive Lake Road in Kathio Township, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. Cassidy Lynn Schneider, a 25-year-old resident of Grasston, Minnesota, was running southbound on the northbound shoulder when she collided with a southbound 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Angel Ann Oehrlein, 63, of Garrison, Minnesota. Schneider sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Robbinsdale for treatment. Oehrlein reported no injuries.The incident occurred under dry road conditions, with no alcohol involvement noted. The Minnesota State Patrol, assisted by Garrison Fire, Onamia Ambulance, Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, Mille Lacs Tribal Police, and North Air Care, is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
