Bobby Kokojan Injured in Train-Combine Accident Near Waukomis, Oklahoma

On June 21, 2025, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a train collided with a combine harvester operated by Bobby Kokojan, the Fire Chief of Waukomis, Oklahoma. The accident occurred on railroad tracks two miles south of Waukomis in Garfield County. Kokojan sustained multiple injuries and was transported by air to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. As of June 23, 2025, he remained under medical care. The impact of the collision propelled the combine a quarter-mile along the tracks and caused a fire that burned five acres of nearby wheat stubble. Local authorities, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, are investigating the incident, and further information is pending.
