Chen Xiao Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision on I-35 in Hinckley, Minnesota – September 13, 2025

On September 13, 2025, a three-vehicle collision occurred on northbound Interstate 35 at Highway 48 in Hinckley, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2015 Chevy Equinox, a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, and a 2012 Chevy Silverado. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Chevy Equinox, driven by 43-year-old Chen Xiao of Rochester, was stationary when it was struck from behind by the Dodge Ram. The impact pushed the Equinox into the rear of the Silverado.

Chen Xiao and two passengers—42-year-old Zhiyong Qian and a 9-year-old identified as Meiyu Qian—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Hospital for treatment. The drivers of the Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado were not injured. The crash remains under review.
