Daniel and Janet Sullivan Injured in ATV Collision in Watkins, Minnesota

On the evening of August 27, 2025, Daniel and Janet Sullivan, both 61 and residents of rural Watkins, Minnesota, were injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash on Meeker County Road 34 in Forest Prairie Township. According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 7:26 p.m. when a vehicle operated by a 16-year-old from Litchfield struck the Sullivans’ side-by-side ATV while both vehicles were traveling northbound.

Daniel Sullivan, who was driving the ATV, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene. Janet Sullivan was transported by ambulance with injuries described as non-serious. The juvenile driver was uninjured. Local emergency response agencies, including Eden Valley Fire and Rescue, Mayo Ambulance, Watkins Ambulance, the Minnesota State Patrol, and Lifelink III, assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
