Authorities have formally identified the man killed in a train collision Monday morning in Elburn, Illinois, as 65-year-old David E. Carlson of Sycamore. The Kane County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identification using evidence collected at the scene along with the assistance of a forensic odontologist.
