Dennis Littlejohn Severely Injured in Suspected Drowsy Driving Crash – Ypsilanti, Michigan – August 3, 2025
On August 3, 2025, 32-year-old Dennis James Littlejohn of Ypsilanti, Michigan sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the westbound exit ramp of I-94 near Wiard Road. According to Michigan State Police, Littlejohn had exited his vehicle after running out of fuel and was waiting for assistance when a Ford F-150, driven by a 50-year-old man who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, collided with him and his truck.
Littlejohn was transported to a hospital in Ann Arbor, where he remains in critical condition with reported brain injuries. The driver remained on the scene and is not currently in custody. Investigators have stated that alcohol or drug use may have played a role in the incident, which remains under investigation. Littlejohn is a self-employed father of two, and his family has launched a fundraiser to support his ongoing care.
