Emma Risley, Kendall Mackey, Meaghan Cleinmark, and Alexandra Hamm Injured in Apple River ATV Crash
On July 17, 2025, an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident occurred in Apple River, Illinois, resulting in injuries to four individuals. The crash took place near the intersection of Flintlock Lane and Powder Horne Lane at approximately 2:00 p.m. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the ATV, operated by Nan Ryan, 34, of Genoa, Illinois, was traveling at an unsafe speed on a downhill curve, causing it to lose control, roll at least once, strike a tree, and come to rest on its side. The vehicle carried seven occupants, including Emma Risley, 32, Kendall Mackey, 31, Meaghan Cleinmark, 35, and Alexandra Hamm, 31, all from Genoa, Illinois.Emma Risley and Kendall Mackey were transported by ambulance to FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport and Monroe Hospital, respectively, for treatment of their injuries. Meaghan Cleinmark and Alexandra Hamm were airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford due to the severity of their injuries. Two other passengers, Alexis Beery, 31, and Allison Janusz, 37, refused medical treatment, as did the driver, Nan Ryan. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident
