Fatal Accident Involving Donnie Barton in Hot Spring County
On May 24, 2025, at 11:10 a.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred in the 7000 block of U.S. 270 West in rural Hot Spring County, Arkansas. According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2006 Buick, driven by 71-year-old Francis S. Lee of Rockport, Arkansas, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center turning lane and collided head-on with a 2011 Toyota driven by 71-year-old Donnie W. Barton of Malvern, Arkansas, which was traveling westbound in the left lane.
The collision resulted in the deaths of Francis S. Lee and his passenger, 61-year-old Theresa L. Lee, also of Rockport, Arkansas. Donnie W. Barton sustained injuries and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for treatment.
