Heather Miller Killed in Golf Cart Accident in Port Aransas

On May 10, 2025, Heather Miller, a 61-year-old resident of Port Aransas, Texas, was killed in a golf cart accident near the Port Aransas jetties. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. when a truck, driven by George Baermann, collided with the golf cart Miller was operating. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. Baermann, a 41-year-old Port Aransas resident, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle following the collision.

Authorities have set Baermann’s bail at $250,000, and the investigation remains ongoing with support from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office. No additional information has been disclosed at this time.
