Julie Stewart Fatally Struck in Framingham Hit-and-Run Incident

On May 25, 2025, Julie Stewart, a 41-year-old resident of Framingham, Massachusetts, was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 near Worcester Road and California Avenue. The incident occurred by an office building, and Stewart was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver, identified as Stewart Anderson, 44, also from Framingham, fled the scene but was subsequently arrested at his residence later that evening. Anderson has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury or death. The vehicle involved was located behind a building, exhibiting significant front-end damage. During his appearance in Framingham District Court, Anderson’s bail was set at $100,000, and he was ordered not to operate a motor vehicle.
