Kaitlynn Marie Taylor Involved in Minor Car Accident on Highway 2
On June 8, 2025, at 12:45 PM, a minor traffic accident occurred on Highway 2 at milepost 142 in North Cass Unorganized Territory, Cass County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2016 Ford Focus, driven by Christiana Marie Ives-Esler, 42, of Mora, Minnesota, and a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup, driven by Connley Medean Anderson, 71, of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Both vehicles were traveling westbound when the Ford Focus rear-ended the GMC Sierra. The driver of the Ford Focus reported that her foot slipped off the brake, leading to the collision.
The accident resulted in minor, non-life-threatening injuries to the occupants of the Ford Focus, including passenger Kaitlynn Marie Taylor, 21, also of Mora, Minnesota. Both individuals were transported to Deer River Hospital for evaluation. The occupants of the GMC Sierra, including the driver and three passengers—Sheila Rae Anderson, 62, Shannon Marie Hunt, 59, and Shelley Lynne Johnson, 63—reported no injuries. The road was wet at the time, and responding agencies included Leech Lake Ambulance, Deer River Ambulance, Federal Dam Fire, and the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
