Lieutenant Donald Bossi Severely Injured in Revere Hit-and-Run Incident
On June 23, 2025, Lieutenant Donald Bossi, a Massachusetts State Police station commander, was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident outside the Revere Barracks on Revere Beach Boulevard. Bossi was struck by a stolen motorcycle driven by Akram El Moukhtari, 18, of Revere, who was reportedly traveling at high speed and made no attempt to avoid the collision. The impact threw Bossi approximately 40 feet, resulting in a broken pelvis, facial fractures, and multiple lacerations. He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery on June 24, 2025.
El Moukhtari fled the scene but later surrendered to authorities. He faces charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of personal injury. The Massachusetts State Police, led by Colonel Geoffrey Noble, acknowledged Bossi’s resilience and the swift response of troopers who apprehended the suspect. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
