Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 95 in Denmark Township, Washington County

On May 14, 2025, at 1:52 PM, a serious multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 95 and 70th Street in Denmark Township, Washington County, Minnesota. The incident began when a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia 126 semi-truck, traveling northbound on Highway 95, collided with a 2011 GMC Sierra moving eastbound on 70th Street. The impact forced the 2011 GMC Sierra into a 2004 GMC Sierra driven by Thomas Arnold Dorschner, a 20-year-old resident of Hastings, Minnesota, who was traveling in the southbound lanes of Highway 95. Emergency response teams, including Cottage Grove Police Department, Cottage Grove Fire/EMS, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and Hastings Fire/EMS, promptly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and assist the injured parties.

Thomas Arnold Dorschner sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did not require immediate hospitalization, while the driver of the 2011 GMC Sierra, Shane Joseph Loughney, 48, of Woodville, Wisconsin, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital. The semi-truck driver, Gurusevak Singh, 27, of Indianapolis, Indiana, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Regina Hospital. The crash occurred under dry road conditions, and all drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
