Tia Muller Killed in Fatal ATV Accident at Iron Range OHV Park in Gilbert, Minnesota

Tia Muller, 26, of Chisholm, Minnesota, was fatally injured in an ATV accident that occurred on Friday, August 16, 2025, at the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area in Gilbert. According to the Gilbert Police Department, Muller became pinned beneath the ATV she was riding. The incident was discovered the following morning around 10:30 a.m. by another group of ATV riders.

Muller was a firefighter with the Cherry Fire Department in St. Louis County. A passenger, 25-year-old Jonathan Muller, also of Chisholm, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. The department publicly mourned the loss of Muller, referring to her as “Tinker Bell” in a statement. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
