Anthony Level Hale Injured in London, Arkansas I-40 Crash on January 5, 2026 | Wrong-Way Collision Near Mile Marker 78

A late-night crash on Interstate 40 in Pope County left one man dead and another seriously injured on January 5, 2026, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety. The collision occurred around 10:38 p.m. on the westbound lanes near mile marker 78 in the city of London. Authorities reported that a passenger vehicle traveling eastbound entered the westbound lanes, initiating a sequence of impacts involving multiple commercial vehicles.

Anthony Level Hale, 47, of Benton, Arkansas, was injured while operating a westbound commercial vehicle and was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Hospital for treatment. Another driver, identified as Jason Dotson of Dover, was pronounced deceased. Investigators noted that road and weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
