Arkansas State Capitol Officer Sergeant Dion Tyson Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident

On May 28, 2025, at 6:30 a.m., Sergeant Dion Tyson, an officer with the Arkansas State Capitol, was involved in a multi-vehicle accident while en route to work near Bryant, Arkansas. Tyson sustained injuries as a result of the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment and recovering.

Secretary of State Cole Jester provided an official statement regarding the accident: "This morning, one of our bravest and kindest officers, Sergeant Tyson, was hit. We want the public’s help in finding out any details. And we want your prayers. We are a family at the capitol, and we are so proud of the work Sergeant Tyson has done."
