Cody Purvis Critically Injured in Dallas Drunk Driving Incident on December 31, 2025

On December 31, 2025, Cody Purvis, 35, a medical technician and father of two, sustained critical injuries while crossing Harry Hines Boulevard at Moody Street in Dallas, Texas. Purvis, accompanied by his brother Chris and a friend, was struck by a vehicle driven by an alleged intoxicated driver, Giovanni Perez, who ran a red light and collided with another car, propelling the pedestrians as much as 20 feet.
