Connie Cosby and Anthony Keister Critically Injured in Frenchtown Township Hit-and-Run – Monroe, Michigan, June 22, 2025

On the evening of June 22, 2025, two Monroe residents, Connie L. Cosby and Anthony R. Keister, both 40 years old, were critically injured in a hit-and-run incident on North Dixie Highway near Exit 15 off I-75 in Frenchtown Township, Michigan. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the pair was walking northbound when a blue Ford sedan, reportedly driving erratically, struck them and fled the scene.

Cosby was found in the center turn lane, and Keister in the northeast travel lane. Both were transported in critical condition to Corewell Health Trenton Hospital. A piece of the suspect’s vehicle — the driver’s side mirror — was recovered at the scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
