Craig Pruitt Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. Highway 281 in Caddo County, Oklahoma on December 7, 2025

Craig Pruitt, 51, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, died following a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon, December 7, 2025, in Caddo County. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 281 when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction struck Pruitt’s vehicle head-on.

Authorities reported that Pruitt was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision. The cause of the crash has not been determined, and the incident remains under investigation by state troopers. Pruitt was a coach at Hinton Public Schools, where officials acknowledged his death and confirmed that counseling and support services would be made available to students and staff in the aftermath of the incident.
