Diane Nast Injured in Duluth, Minnesota Crash on Highway 61 – October 1, 2025

On the morning of October 1, 2025, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 61 and East Superior Street in Duluth, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash took place at approximately 8:10 a.m. when a Toyota Rav4, after stopping at a stop sign, attempted to cross Highway 61 and was struck by a southbound Subaru Outback.

The Subaru was driven by 69-year-old Diane Marie Nast of Knife River. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health for treatment. The driver of the Toyota, 73-year-old David Kantor of Grand Marais, was also injured and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the incident.
