Fatal Kirkland Motorcycle Collision Involving Ronald Jubis Under Investigation

On July 10, 2025, a fatal collision occurred in the town of Kirkland, New York, involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The New York State Police report that Ronald J. Jubis, 78, of Marcy, NY, was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado and attempting to turn left from French Road onto Route 5 when a westbound 2006 Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle, operated by David A. Humphrey II, 34, of Herkimer, NY, struck the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.

Humphrey was pronounced dead at the scene. Jubis sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wynn Hospital.
