Faith Luebbers Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on US 51 in Centralia, Illinois on January 12, 2026

Faith Luebbers, 27, of Carlyle, Illinois, was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on the south side of Centralia. The collision occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. at the US 51 turnaround north of Walnut Hill Road. According to Centralia police, a northbound van attempted to enter the turnaround from the right lane and struck the front of another van traveling in the left lane.

Luebbers, who was driving a vehicle belonging to the Hoyleton Children’s Home, was transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia along with two juvenile passengers, ages 15 and 16. All three sustained injuries requiring medical evaluation. The other driver declined hospital treatment at the scene and was cited for improper lane usage. The crash remains documented as part of a routine traffic investigation.
