Jasmine Batiste Killed in Fatal Beaumont, Texas Crash – September 2025

On the morning of Sunday, September 14, 2025, 19-year-old Jasmine Batiste was struck and killed by a black 2020 pickup truck on Washington Boulevard near Fifth Street in Beaumont, Texas. Batiste, a young mother, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family, now in mourning, recalled the devastating moment they were informed of her death and the emotional toll it has taken.

Batiste was described as deeply devoted to her young son, who fortunately was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Her father, Reginald Batiste, expressed both his heartbreak and his plea for more responsible behavior from drivers, especially regarding impaired driving. The family has now suffered multiple tragedies in recent years and is calling on the public to consider the consequences of negligent actions behind the wheel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church.
