Jonathan Andres Contreras Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. 380 in Jacksboro, Texas on November 16, 2025

Jonathan Andres Contreras, 29, lost his life in a head-on collision on U.S. 380 outside Jacksboro in Jack County, Texas, on November 16, 2025. The crash occurred at approximately 1 p.m. when a westbound Honda Accord attempted to pass another vehicle in a clearly marked no-passing zone and crossed into oncoming traffic. The vehicle struck a Honda CR-V carrying Contreras, resulting in a violent impact that caused the CR-V to rotate before coming to rest.

Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene. A one-year-old child traveling in the same vehicle also died as a result of the collision. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
