Joyce Elizabeth Kahlhamer Injured in Aitkin Township Vehicle Collision

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 4:47 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on westbound Highway 210 at 422nd Place in Aitkin Township, Aitkin County, Minnesota. Joyce Elizabeth Kahlhamer, a 63-year-old resident of Aitkin, was driving a 2008 Honda Accord westbound when it collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Karen Sue Rhode, 74, which attempted a U-turn from the westbound shoulder, resulting in a T-bone style crash. Kahlhamer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center for treatment, as were the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet.The Minnesota State Patrol, with assistance from Aitkin authorities, is investigating the incident, which occurred under dry road conditions with no reported alcohol involvement.
