Julia Bucsko Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on State Route 155 in Okanogan County, Washington on December 18, 2025
A two-vehicle collision involving a jackknifed semi-truck left one person injured Thursday morning in Okanogan County, Washington. The crash occurred around 10 a.m. on State Route 155, north of Nespelem, when a semi-truck traveling downhill lost traction after braking, causing the trailer to jackknife into the southbound lane. An SUV traveling in that lane subsequently collided with the trailer, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Julia Bucsko, 55, of Omak, Washington, was driving the SUV at the time of the crash and was transported to Mid Valley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Authorities cited the semi-truck driver, a 52-year-old Colville resident, for driving too fast for road conditions. The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
