Justin Mangum Killed in Wrong-Way Crash Involving Suspected Drunk Driver – San Antonio, TX | August 30, 2025

In the early hours of August 30, 2025, a fatal collision occurred on the 16300 block of Wurzbach Parkway in northeast San Antonio, Texas. Authorities with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) reported that 37-year-old Justin Wade Mangum was killed when a wrong-way driver, suspected of being intoxicated, crashed head-on into his vehicle.

The crash took place around 3 a.m. when the driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveled eastbound in a westbound lane, colliding with Mangum’s gray 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. Mangum was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado was transported to a hospital for evaluation, where police confirmed intoxication before placing the individual under arrest. An investigation remains ongoing.
