Kaimir Jones Death at Unlicensed Daycare | Valdosta, Georgia | October 4, 2025

Authorities in Valdosta, Georgia have confirmed that 2-year-old Kaimir Jones was killed after being attacked by two Rottweilers while under the supervision of an unlicensed daycare provider. According to investigators, the incident occurred on October 4 when the operator, 48-year-old Stacy Wheeler Cobb, fell asleep and left the child unattended for more than two hours. During that time, Jones exited the residence and accessed a kennel where the dogs were kept. He was fatally mauled before Cobb discovered the situation.

Cobb has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children. Valdosta police describe the case as a preventable tragedy marked by neglect and unresolved procedural failures, noting that the investigation remains active. Family members of Jones publicly expressed their expectation of accountability, emphasizing the broader risk posed to families who unknowingly rely on unlicensed child care providers.
