Kathy and Anthony Ruiz Involved in Fatal Highway 67 Collision | Lawrence County, Arkansas | November 2, 2025

Arkansas State Police have released details regarding a fatal incident on U.S. Highway 67 in rural Lawrence County that occurred on the morning of November 2. According to the preliminary crash report, 53-year-old Anthony H. Ruiz of Walnut Ridge was walking in the southbound lane ahead of a 2019 Honda CR-V driven by 53-year-old Kathy A. Ruiz. At approximately 10:57 a.m., a 1997 Infiniti QX4 struck the rear of the Honda, forcing it forward and into Anthony Ruiz. He was transported to Regional One Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Kathy Ruiz and a child in her vehicle sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision. Authorities have not yet identified the driver of the Infiniti involved in the rear-end impact. The investigation remains active as officials continue evaluating the sequence of events and contributing factors leading to the fatality.
