Kim Chang Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Touhy Avenue in Niles, IL – February 3, 2026 Fatal Morning Collision

On February 3, 2026, Kim Chang, 84, of Lincolnwood, Illinois, was fatally struck while attempting to cross Touhy Avenue in Niles. The collision occurred at approximately 6:08 a.m. in the 5600 block of the roadway, according to local authorities. Police reported that Chang was crossing from north to south outside of a protected intersection when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

Responding officers found Chang with life-threatening injuries and arranged transport to Lutheran General Hospital, where he later died. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
