On August 22, 2025, a fatal multi-vehicle collision involving three tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles occurred on U.S. 75 in Sherman, Texas, near Farm-to-Market 691.

The crash took place at approximately 4:20 a.m. in a designated construction zone. Among the deceased was 20-year-old Lawrence Anderson, who was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended by a semi-truck.

Both Anderson and 51-year-old Janet Phillips were pronounced dead at the scene.
