Li Jin Huang Fatally Struck in Wappinger Pedestrian Crash

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 8:49 a.m., a fatal pedestrian collision occurred at the intersection of Schnabl Court and Myers Corner Road in Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York. Li Jin Huang, a 72-year-old resident of Wappinger Falls, was walking westbound in the eastbound lane of Myers Corner Road when he abruptly crossed the roadway in a northerly direction and was struck by a westbound 2016 Toyota RAV4 operated by Barbara A. Griffin, 85, of Poughkeepsie. Huang was pronounced deceased at the scene.The New York State Police Wappinger barracks and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
