On January 1, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas, Lindsey Capers and her 2-year-old child were struck by a vehicle in the 3000 block of West Loop 289 at the West End Shopping Center. According to Lubbock police, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. as Capers, 29, and her child were leaving a business in the area.
