Maria Rodriguez Matute Injured in Schroeder Township, MN Crash – September 22, 2025

On September 22, 2025, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 61 near mile post 72 in Schroeder Township, Cook County, Minnesota. According to official reports, the driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently left the roadway and struck several trees. Three occupants were involved in the incident.

Maria Antonia Rodriguez Matute, a 33-year-old passenger from Richfield, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia St. Mary’s for medical treatment. A four-year-old child passenger, Genesis Sofia Antonia Castillo Rodriguez, was also reported to have non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, Natividad Serrano Serrano, was uninjured. No alcohol involvement was indicated, and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
