Mark and Candice Polmatier Injured in Marcy, NY Motorcycle Accident – June 4, 2025

On June 4, 2025, in the Town of Marcy, New York, a motorcycle collision resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Mark Polmatier, 67, and Candice Polmatier, 68, both of Holland Patent. The incident occurred at approximately 12:12 p.m. on Fox Road when a pickup truck, operated by 39-year-old Rebecca Hayes of Marcy, backed out of a residential driveway and entered the southbound lane directly in the path of the Polmatiers’ motorcycle.

Following the impact, both Mark and Candice Polmatier were transported to Wynn Hospital for medical treatment. Rebecca Hayes was issued a citation for unsafe backing and is expected to appear in court at a later date. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, the Maynard Fire Department, and Kunkel Ambulance.
