Martin Pantoja, 62, Injured in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on U.S. Highway 10 in Perham Township, Minnesota - December 10, 2025
A single-vehicle rollover incident occurred on December 10, 2025, at approximately 3:08 PM on U.S. Highway 10 at mile marker 64 in Perham Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, a 2007 GMC Yukon was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 10 when the vehicle departed the roadway and overturned into the median. Road conditions at the time of the incident were reported as snow and ice, which are believed to have been contributing factors in the loss of vehicle control. The vehicle's airbag system deployed during the rollover event, and both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
Martin Pantoja, a 62-year-old male resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries requiring medical intervention. Pantoja was transported to Perham Health for treatment of his injuries. The vehicle operator, Ricardo Zavala Martinez, 37, also of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Perham Health as well. Emergency response personnel from Perham Area EMS, Perham Fire Department, and Perham Police Department responded to the scene. Alcohol was not determined to be a contributing factor in the collision. Both occupants were properly restrained at the time of the incident, which occurred during adverse weather conditions characterized by snow and ice on the roadway surface.
