Mary and Walker Wright Injured in State Route 503 Crash Near Battle Ground, Washington – October 1, 2025
On October 1, 2025, a three-vehicle collision occurred on State Route 503 near Battle Ground, Washington, resulting in the death of one driver and injuries to two others. At approximately 2:23 p.m., Francis X. Isselhardt, 70, of Cougar, was driving a 2004 Buick Rainier northbound when he crossed the center line and struck a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta occupied by Mary A. Wright, 26, of Yacolt, and Walker L. Wright, 27, of La Center. The impact forced the Jetta off the roadway.
Isselhardt’s vehicle then continued northbound and collided head-on with a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by Michael P. Lorah, 40, of Woodland. Isselhardt was later pronounced dead at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Mary Wright sustained injuries and was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, while Walker Wright was also taken to the same facility as a precaution. All individuals involved were reportedly wearing seat belts, and no impairment is suspected.
