Melingko Dullas Injured in Highway 60 Intersection Crash in Delafield Township, Jackson County on January 18, 2026

Melingko Dullas was injured Sunday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 in Delafield Township, Jackson County. The crash occurred at approximately 11:16 a.m. on January 18, 2026, at milepost 39, where winter weather left the roadway covered in snow and ice.

Authorities reported that a 2008 Honda Civic was crossing Highway 60 from 470th Street when it slid through the intersection and collided with a westbound 2013 Ford Flex driven by Dullas, 45, of Windom. Airbags deployed in both vehicles upon impact. Dullas sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Windom Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Two passengers in the Ford Flex, Deurme Chopwa, 47, and Aski G. Willy, 51, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized. The driver of the Honda Civic, 18-year-old Jonah William Nauman of Windom, was likewise treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency response included Windom Fire Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, and Windom Police Department. Alcohol was not suspected as a contributing factor.
