Olene Crawford and Benjamin R. Wilson Injured in DUI-Related Crash Near Brewster, Washington

On the afternoon of August 16, 2025, a four-vehicle collision on State Route 97 near Brewster, Washington resulted in serious injuries to multiple individuals, including Olene A. Crawford, 53, of Covington, and Benjamin R. Wilson, 48, of Omak. The incident occurred when Ray L. Hopkins, 62, of Twisp, reportedly crossed the center line in a 2022 Nissan Frontier and struck three northbound vehicles. The crash, which took place near milepost 251, led to significant traffic disruption and required emergency medical response.

Crawford, driving a 2018 Dodge Charger, was transported by ambulance to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster. Wilson, operating a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, was also hospitalized at the same facility.
