Rana Thomas Injured in St. Michael Highway Collision – October 22, 2025

In Saint Michael, Minnesota, on October 22, 2025, Rana Tapreen Thomas, 53, of Saint Cloud, sustained non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle collision on westbound I-94 near milepost 203. The incident involved a 2021 GMC Sierra, operated by Stewart Gerard Schwinghammer, 57, of Saint Augusta, and a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Shirley Mae Mohs, 74, of Saint Cloud, in which Thomas was a passenger. The collision occurred under dry road conditions and was attended by Wright County authorities, St. Michael Fire, Albertville Fire, and Allina Ambulance.

Both vehicles were westbound when the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Equinox collided. Airbag deployment occurred in the Equinox, while all occupants were restrained with seat belts. Thomas and the driver of the Equinox were transported to St. Cloud Hospital for evaluation. No alcohol or drugs were reported to have been involved. The vehicles were documented by responding agencies, and no further hazards were noted at the scene.
