Ren Hatt Killed in Green River, Utah Head-On Crash with Semi-Truck on December 5, 2025

Ren Hatt, the 40-year-old mayor of Green River, Utah, was killed in a fatal traffic collision on the evening of December 5, 2025. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. on U.S. Route 6 when a westbound semi-truck drifted into the eastbound lane and struck Hatt’s vehicle head-on. Hatt, who was driving a Hyundai Palisade, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, and authorities stated that impairment is not suspected.
