Shabrina Grant Fatally Injured in Buffalo, NY Skyway Collision – June 6, 2025

In a tragic incident on the Buffalo Skyway late Thursday night, 28-year-old Shabrina Grant of Buffalo was pronounced dead at the scene following a high-speed, head-on collision. The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on June 5, 2025, at the top of the inbound stretch of the Skyway, where authorities say one vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction at excessive speed.

Grant, a passenger in the striking vehicle, suffered fatal injuries. Two others were seriously injured: the 27-year-old male driver of the same vehicle from Lackawanna, and a 46-year-old woman driving the impacted vehicle. Both survivors remain hospitalized at ECMC. The Skyway was shut down in both directions for nearly five hours as police conducted their investigation.
