Shane Spillane’s Fatal Intersection Collision in Brockton, Massachusetts on November 14, 2025

Authorities in Brockton, Massachusetts confirmed that 26-year-old Shane Spillane of Braintree died early Friday morning following a collision between a passenger vehicle and a box truck at the intersection of Quincy and Centre Streets. Police responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. and found a severely damaged vehicle containing four occupants. Spillane succumbed to his injuries, while three others from the same vehicle were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The driver of the truck was also hospitalized.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, surveillance footage shows the car traveling west on Centre Street when it struck the driver's side of the northbound truck in the middle of the intersection. Officials noted that all traffic signals were functioning at the time of the crash. The Massachusetts State Police are conducting a full investigation, and no determination has been made regarding possible charges.
