On August 11, 2025, at 5:26 p.m., a collision occurred on Highway 2 near Itasca Street in Grand Rapids Township, Itasca County, Minnesota. Steven Donald Storrs, a 69-year-old bicyclist from Grand Rapids, was traveling eastbound when he crossed the highway and was struck by an eastbound 2019 Ford Explorer driven by Brianna Michelle Barstow, 28, also of Grand Rapids. Storrs, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Grand Itasca Hospital for treatment. Barstow reported no injuries.The incident occurred under dry road conditions, with no alcohol involvement reported. The Minnesota State Patrol, assisted by the Grand Rapids Police Department and North Memorial Ambulance, is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
