Zhiyong Qian Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-35 in Hinckley, Minnesota – September 13, 2025

On September 13, 2025, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on northbound Interstate 35 at Highway 48 in Hinckley, Minnesota. The incident involved three vehicles: a 2015 Chevy Equinox, a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, and a 2012 Chevy Silverado. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision began when the Dodge Ram rear-ended the stationary Chevy Equinox, which was then pushed forward into the rear of the Chevy Silverado.

Zhiyong Qian, a 42-year-old passenger in the Equinox, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Hospital in Hinckley for medical treatment. Two other occupants of the Equinox, including a minor, were also hospitalized. No injuries were reported among the drivers of the other vehicles. The cause of the crash is under review by local authorities.
