Madorin Huot Killed by Reversing Vehicle in Lowell, Massachusetts Parking Lot Incident
An 81-year-old Lowell resident, Madorin Huot, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a reversing vehicle on August 25, 2025. The incident occurred in the parking lot of her residence at 45 Walker Street, where Huot was reportedly tending to a garden area when she was hit by a white Acura TLX driven by 56-year-old Angela Lourm. Authorities noted visible damage to the vehicle's trunk, consistent with the impact site.
Lourm was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence of alcohol, including while causing serious bodily injury. Court documents reveal she admitted to drinking wine that day and refused both field sobriety and breathalyzer tests. The prosecution has indicated that upgraded charges are likely. A memorial has since formed at the site of the fatal crash.
