Daphne Rothfork Fatally Struck in Kennewick Pedestrian Accident

On July 28, 2025, Daphne Rothfork, a 71-year-old resident of Kennewick, Washington, was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident. The incident occurred on 27th Avenue near Tacoma Street when Rothfork was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver, a 59-year-old woman from Kennewick, was involved in the collision, which, according to the Kennewick Police Department, did not involve drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed. Despite CPR attempts by a passerby and a Kennewick Police Commander, Rothfork was pronounced dead at the scene.The Kennewick Police Department’s Traffic Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident.
